About this Course:

Stage 2+ The “Like a Scientist” professional learning series expands participants’ understanding of how to enhance elementary students’ English language development through focused engagement in inquiry science. Traditionally, schools have considered science learning and language learning to be very different subjects. However, recent research suggests that the integration of these seemingly disparate areas is advantageous to both. The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) provide opportunities for students to use English in meaningful ways.
