Full course description
The Application Skills training series includes job readiness resources and information from industry professionals to help teachers prepare their students to find a job or internship. The training is divided into three modules:
- Resume Building – learn about the components of a resume and what information to include in each section to make the candidate attractive to employers.
- Job Interview Preparation – learn about how to make the best impression with the interviewer and stand out from other candidates.
- Career Assessments and Labor Market Data – learn how to use labor market data to identify the skills and occupations that San Diego employers need most and which careers are best suited to different skills and interests.
This Application Skills Training is a train-the-trainer format, designed to build the capacity of district and site educators to deliver the trainings to their students.
